What drywall repair costs
Drywall repair is priced by the visit and the size of the patch, never by the foot. A patch and the wall repainted in DC ran $215 this August, labor and materials. The price on the estimate is the price on the invoice unless you add a wall.

What moves the price
- Size and count matter more than anything. Three small holes in one room cost less than one hole in each of three rooms, because the drive and the setup happen once.
- Texture adds a step. Orange peel and knockdown need a sprayed match and a dry day between coats, so textured ceilings run a second visit.
- Paint matching is included when you have the can. When you do not, we color match at the store and the paint is on the materials line.
- Plaster is a different repair. Older Baltimore County and DC walls get a bonding agent and a setting compound, which takes longer than a drywall patch.

Cost questions
- Is there a minimum for one small hole?
- Yes. One visit has a minimum, and it is on the hub price list. If you have more than one thing, tell us when you send the photo so the visit covers all of it.
- Can you match my wall color?
- If you have the can or the color name, yes, included. Without either we take a chip to the paint store and match it. Sun faded walls sometimes need the whole wall painted corner to corner so the patch disappears.
- How many visits does a patch take?
- Usually two. The first hangs, tapes and floats the patch. The second, a day or two later, sands, primes and paints. Small dents and nail pops can finish the same day with a quick set compound.
